16 Days central action of the national campaign
Mass performance on November 25th We Remember Them – was devoted to women in Serbia who were killed by their partners and families. In 2011 in Serbia 29 women were killed in domestic/partnership violence. One third of cases of femicide globally were committed with guns.
Reconstruction Women’s Fund, Autonomous Women’s Center, Art activist group ACT Women and Network of Women against Violence organized Campaign 16 Days with the slogan “Stop the Stalking of Women”.

The Campaign “16 days of Activism against Violence against Women” every year is marked from November 25th, International Day against Violence against Women till December 10th, International Human Rights Day. The campaign was based on 60th anniversary of Universal Declaration of Human Rights. From that starting point we reminded the public on the comprehensive platform of feminists in Serbia which was defined and practiced since early nineties: against the war, nationalism, racism, all kinds of discrimination and violence against women.
Campaign “16 days” Women’s groups in Belgrade symbolically joined the international “16 Days” campaign against violence against women at its beginning in 1991.
